Wildcard entry Davey Todd upset the Quattro Group British Supersport and GP2 applecart as he stormed to the best lap during opening free practice.

Aboard the Powertoolmate Ducati, Todd clocked a best lap of 1min39.750s in the first session at Circuito de Navarra, as ROKit Haslam Racing Ducati’s Eugene McManus finished a close second quickest, 0.067secs behind.

Returning former champion Jack Kennedy ended the session third on the Honda Racing UK machine, as reigning champ Ben Currie posted the fourth best time, just ahead of another returnee, Brad Perie.

In the GP2 class, Jack Nixon built on his testing form to end the session quickest on the Kramer, as his team-mate Owen Jenner was second and Owen Mellor third.
