Julian Correa led the way in the opening R&G British Talent Cup free practice session, setting a best lap of 1min 51.632secs at Circuito de Navarra.

The American beat Filip Surowiak by more than half a second as the first round of the new season began, as Charlie Huntingford clocked the third quickest time.

Daniel Goodman was fourth with Jack Burrows fifth, while yesterday’s pace setter, Amanuel Brinton, was absent from the session.
