GB4 contender Jordyn Martin has been selected to participate in this year's F1 Academy Rookie Test at MSV's Circuito de Navarra on 9-11 September. 

The 15-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to her rookie campaign in GB4, having qualified inside the top-15 on eight occasions already this year, with a best starting position of third at Donington Park in June. 

She's also finished races inside the top-15 nine times so far, not only establishing herself as one of the lead rookie contenders on this year's grid, but also the current top-scoring female driver.

The American driver is one of the youngest contenders to be selected for this year's Rookie Test, and will only turn 16 a couple of days after the conclusion.

The test at Navarra will include track time in an F1 Academy car during official rookie sessions, as well as insight on typical behind the scenes activity with her allotted team during the build-up. 17 other leading female drivers from around the world have also been selected. 

She will also benefit from a Rookie Training Camp at Loughborough University from 25-27 August, in which drivers will undertake a range of assessments including physiological profiling, cognitive testing, and performance screening. 

Seminars and interactive workshops will also be held, led by Loughborough University's experts, covering topics such as strength and conditioning, performance lifestyle, resilience, and the key behaviours that underpin success in elite sport.
