Circuito de Navarra welcomes the GT Winter Series for the first time this weekend (4/5 March), with the venue in northern Spain hosting the penultimate round of this year’s calendar.

The championship, which runs from December through until early spring, features wide range of cars and another heathy entry is anticipated this weekend.

The grid will include high performance GT3 and GT4 machinery from some of the planet’s most prestigious manufacturers, as raced in top class championships across the globe. Additionally, the series is open to cars built to other class specifications, including Ferrari Challenge and Porsche Cup models.

Following pre-event testing, which takes place at the venue throughout 2/3 March, the main event will take place across the weekend. Competitive action on the full 2.444-mile circuit will start at the weekend, with two shorter sprint races scheduled on Sunday in addition to a showpiece endurance race on which will really put teams and drivers to the test.

In addition to the headline GT races, there will be single-seater action from the inaugural Formula Winter Series season. This new category offers young drivers from across the globe an opportunity to impress behind the wheel of F4-level racing cars during what is traditionally the off-season.
