Barry Burrell and Thomas Strudwick celebrated a win apiece in today’s two ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F 900 R Cup Heats.
Burrell claimed his first Heat victory at the end of a dramatic Heat One, where the lead swapped several times and it all came down to a last lap scrap between four riders.
Burrell led into the final lap but was passed by polesitter Nikki Coates, however with Smith twins Kieran and Christian also in the mix it was a battle to the line, with Burrell getting back ahead to celebrate the win with Christian second, Kieran third and Coates fourth.
In contrast, Heat Two was much more straightforward as points leader and polesitter Thomas Strudwick took a lights to flag win, beating James O’Mara and Illiam Quayle as several riders crashed out.
