MSVR to host first race meeting on new Circuito de Navarra layout

26 September 2024

MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) will make its first trip to Spain for the debut running of the MSVR Autumn Festival at Circuito de Navarra on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October. The meeting will be a landmark occasion as the first race event to take place on the new circuit layout following the second phase of this year’s redevelopments.

The event line-up includes several stalwart UK series which will be travel to the venue in northern Spain for the first time. And those in action will be the first to sample the latest 650-metre circuit extension in a competitive context, including the banked hairpin at Turn 11 and the all-new sequence of fast, flowing corners which follows it.

The MSVT Trackday Trophy will feature enthusiastic amateur drivers, many of whom are relative novices graduating from track days, in a range of cars for a 45-minute mini-enduro with pit stops and driver changes. The cars in action here will include saloons, hatchbacks and sports cars, split across a series of classes.

MSVT’s Trackday Championship will feature as well, with a grid similar to that found in the Trackday Trophy. The key difference here is that these drivers have committed to a season-long title battle with a full points scoring structure. And this event comes at a key part of the season, acting as the penultimate round prior to a finale on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit later in the month.

Another category travelling to the Iberian peninsula for the occasion is the Modified Ford Series which features a range of Ford machines built up to 2013. A huge variation of machines is expected from across the decades, with many possessing bespoke tuning to improve track performance.

The race line-up will be completed by two Copa Racer classes – Racer GT, featuring the M2 CS Cup, and Racer Turismo with Mini Racer.

All categories will appear out on the circuit on Saturday, with the Modified Ford Series and Copa Racer also racing on Sunday. Click here to view the full timetable.

Admission to the circuit is free throughout the weekend. Click here to find out more.
