ESBK: Marcos Ludeña, the great revelation of Supersport NG in his debut season

15 July 2025

At 17 years old, Marcos Ludeña has become the great revelation of the 2025 Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK). The Valencian rider, born on May 27, 2008, is having an outstanding season in his first year in the demanding Supersport NG category, where he currently occupies second position in the overall standings.

Ludeña began his career in motorcycling at the age of four at the KSB Sport school, the same one that saw figures such as David Alonso or Iván Ortolá grow up. Since then, his progression has been constant and meteoric. He was Spanish Promo3 champion and, now, in his jump to the intermediate category of the ESBK, he is showing a maturity and talent superior to what could be expected from such a young rider.

His performance has not gone unnoticed. Reference teams such as Lodisna Team Torrentó, led by Ferrán Torrentó, have already noticed him, and he recently competed in a round of the FIM JuniorGP World Championship in the Stock category.

He does not hesitate to measure himself against high-level riders and even with World Championship experience, such as Daniel Muñoz or Oliver Konig, which drives him to achieve great results and even win. His first victory in this demanding category came in his last participation at the MotorLand Aragón circuit.

Far from being carried away by pressure, Marcos keeps his feet on the ground and an attitude focused on learning:

How would you rate your season so far?:

My season so far has been spectacular, because I'm a rookie rider, this is one of the seasons in which I'm learning the most, and I'd like to continue like this. I've already scored several podiums and a win, and to be fighting for wins against riders with so much experience means we're working very well and we're on the right track, but we have to keep going.

What do you think of the Navarra Circuit and the fact that two ESBK races are held there?

For me the Navarra circuit is very fun and technical, and since they modified the layout I like it more, I am very happy that two ESBK rounds are going to be held at this circuit because I like it a lot and I have always managed to fight for the leading positions.

What expectations do you have for both events?

We go calmly and without pressure to the race weekend, in the end I am  a rookie. Eager to start working training by training with the team and being higher and higher.

There is no doubt that the two rounds at the Circuit de Navarra will be decisive in the future of the championship, and all the riders are aware that the results they get in them will be those that mark how difficult or easy their future is to be champions.
