Steven Odendaal leads the ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship standings ahead of the series’ second visit of the summer to Circuito de Navarra on 30/31 August.
The South African has been a frontrunner throughout the 2025 ESBK season, winning two races across four events so far. But is margin is just 14 points and he’ll be hoping to extend or at least protect that advantage at the circuit in northern Spain later this month.
His nearest rival is former champion Ivo Lopes, who has established himself as something of a Circuito de Navarra specialist. Lopes made major inroads into Odendaal’s lead at the same venue last month with a double victory which means he’s won at Circuito de Navarra three seasons in a row.
That means that the Portuguese rider returns to the circuit near Los Arcos knowing he has what it takes to succeed. Odendaal was competitive at the previous event too, finishing third and fourth in the two races, and he was a winner at Circuito de Navarra in 2024 as well.
Just a further six points back is Roman Ramos, who hasn’t managed to win a race yet this season. However, he’s scored points in every single race and finished second in both races at the other Circuito de Navarra round.

The event will feature two ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship races with one on Saturday ahead of a further contest on Sunday. The full programme will be overseen by the Real Federacion Motociclista Espanola (RFME).
Other classes in caction include Supersport Next Generation, SS300, Moto4, Superstock1000, Superstock600, ESBK Talent and the Yamaha R7 Cup.
