The ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship returns to Circuito de Navarra for its second visit of the season this weekend (30/31 August). Here is everything you need to know ahead of two entertaining days of motorcycle racing:
High quality Superbike title fight
Steven Odendaal leads the ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship standings ahead of the weekend, but he’ll face close competition from former champion Ivo Lopes who won twice at the circuit last month. Odendaal has won at the circuit previously too, however, and was the first ever ESBK rider to win a race on the revised layout following the venue’s redevelopment last year.
The other main contender coming into this event is Roman Ramos, who sits third in the table just six points behind Lopes. Ramos hasn’t won a race yet this year, but he has scored points in every single one this year and finished second in both races at the other Circuito de Navarra round.
ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship, Top Three
- Steven Odendaal, New2 Project, 151
- Ivo Lopes, BMW Easyrace Team, 137
- Roman Ramos, Kawasaki Palmeto JDO Racing, 131

This weekend features much more than just the main Superbike races, with a full 12-race line-up with six races per day. This includes SS300, ESBK Talent, Yamaha R7s, Supersport NG and Moto 4.
